Germs

I remember when my 8 year old son came home terrified of the kitchen counter. I seriously mean “terrified.” Germs! The most contagious, vile, slimy, gross, dangerous pile of germs on the planet can be found on a kitchen counter! He had been taught in school and larned (sic) it well. As I stood making dinner, he stood keeping his distance.

I’ve been studying microbiome the last few weeks. It is germs. Trillions of them, we are ten times more germs than genetic material, in these bodies, which are 60% water. Water has memory. A study found that after a run of anti-biotics the microbiome was still disturbed, six months later. A bunch of doctors are pointing to studies and making conclusions.

The natural interfaces with our world have been disrupted and guess what has been in the way?

One study found that the members of the subjects’ households had developed the same microbiome characteristics as their roomy. It just rubbed off like a GERM CLOUD! Good bad, it goes both ways, but we need the bacteria. We are in a constant mycosis, but it works itself out.

Another fact, all but 1% of probiotics get destroyed during digestion. How else do we get the goody bacteria and the ones that are not destroyed by cleanliness? A study showed that Finns in one town closed windows and did everything they could to eliminate germs. They used lots of chlorine. They had significantly more asthma, allergies and bio-infections. A sister Russian town 100 km away had very low instances of all three. The Russians didn’t do the obsessive clean things that their counterparts did.  It has been recommended to get a dog; he’ll bring home all sorts of healthy germs to distribute about the house and keep everyone healthy.

I found a doctor saying  that 99.99% of germs are either benign or beneficial and we don’t get enough bacteria.

Our ancestors ate dirt. It has all sorts of critters to fulfill and repair the body’s microbiome. Plants also are made up of the same critters from the soil, which eventually get to our microbiomes, when we eat them. We don’t have to roll around in dirt naked every day, but it is okay. It’s healthy.

We don’t generate health by killing stuff; we generate health by creating balance and harmony. That is the way it has been since we became somewhat human and before.

The more barriers that we put up the more we suffer. You can’t out do Mother Nature. She’s amazing. These human bodies aren’t just interfacing with nature; they are a part of nature. They are boundlessly complex.

So, what I’m getting at is the barrier of clothing. Nice cleaned disinfected clothing. Nudity is healthy, it brings the dirt home to the body, lets it breathe and interact in an optimal manner. Air baths, dipping in the pond, baking in the sun are very good for us. Stuff floats by on air; it gets at us and the balancing act begins. Shut out mother nature and you can hinder your natural inherent protections and balance, starting with the skin.

We’re not actually running the show; they are. So why get in the way?

Dirty bare feet? Bring them home. Wipe the counter off with water and stop being so antiseptic with our relatives.

Need to learn the boundaries, the limits? Then, spend a few days nude camping. Personally, I’m not interested in adapting to strong smells, or choking on lint, or sharing my home with certain critters. But, my world isn’t limited by that, when I get outside and get embraced by it.

These are more of the reasons that it feels so good to be naked, out of clothing, how nude is more natural and healthy and clothing obsession is nasty unhealthy. The gut biome is one thing, but there are also pockets of biological communities of germs all over the body. They are communicating with each other and working together. That is why it feels so good to do things naked, every part of the bodily system knows that it is natural. They get a message; they hear about it. Be nude.

“Hey, did you hear about the fun that the skin section is having?”

“Yes, and the mouth is tasting something wonderful, too!”

All of our makeup is communicating inside and outside, making it all work and loving life.

A very, very sensible post about germs. I have been ‘non-obsessed’ about germs for many years.

It is funny/odd [ conspiracy theorists aside ] how with all the abundant access to information & data at Our fingertips, how prominent peerless & world renown leading scientists’ & researchers’ work is being censored from “modern” common knowledge & discourse.

“Indeed, it has been reported that, late in his life, [ Father of modern germ theory: Louis ] Pasteur had arrived at a similar conclusion: he repeated to himself, even on his death bed, “Bernard avait raison. Le germe n’est rien, c’est le terrain qui est tout” (Bernard was right. The germ is nothing, the terrain [ environment / body ] is everything).“

Apparently, widow/Owner/seller Lori is looking for respectable credible bids on Her digs @LupinLodge — unsettling all the current residents & GERMS — for US$32.8Millions. Are You Folks interested? It’s not good for much else because ONLY about 10-20% of the 110 acre property is developable since the rest is otherwise riddled with deep & steep ravines — which are fine for all levels of hiking & camping & relaxing Naturally with sufficient privacy if needed, but a builder’s nightmare.

Ever been? it’s a great 80 year old Nudist/Naturist colony. It would be a shame for it to bite the dust like so many others without a proper Buyer&Preservationist.

    • This has been on the bucket list for many years. Hopefully, the builders nightmare and the expense per acre will sell it as a nude oriented business.
