Our Clothing Optional AirBnB

I have mentioned the AirBnB here at my home in Tucson. It has been functioning by word of mouth. In mid- February “Ida’s Place” became marketed as a clothing optional AirBnB. This is a bit of advertisement and a bit of story.

The house had an extra living area off of the porch when I bought it. I didn’t really want a roommate full time, so an AirBnB was proposed. As I considered it, I remembered how much that I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world, during a job, a few decades back. I have been around Tucson gathering information, for over 50 years and it was fun to turn them on to Baja Arizona, in their sense of a new adventure. I realized that I could apply that to my business and have some fun.

In the rental, there is a small kitchen, breakfast nook and a walk in closet.

I introduced better climate control and brightened up the color of the walls. It still felt too dark, so I added a window with some art outside.

As time has gone by, I have enclosed the porch to regulate the weather’s impact and dust. My plan was to increase nude use when the outdoors is uncomfortable. On chilly winter mornings, the sun comes through the 5×5 windows, heating it, as I sit on the carpet stretching.

On warmer days, I can open the large windows and allow air to drift through. It provides a spot that lies in the transition from indoor to outdoor.

When I placed a dining table and furnishings on the enclosed porch, it became a good extra space to stretch, exercise and entertain. I placed my stationary bike and exercise gym equipment in a less used area.

The door to the AirBnB opens onto this porch to be shared by guests.

A rustic teal framed glass door leads out into the Arizona air to a 30×40 patio. This sits under the large eucalyptus tree that we affectionately call Ida. It comes across as a central paternal figure. Throughout each day, its shade shifts with the sun. There is plenty of room to move and also to sit in a wrought iron dining and lounging set.

I have been creating a garden out of the previously dirt lot. The house, on a 1/3 acre, is setback from the street, so most of the yard is in front. I constructed a tall privacy wall as the first act, even before I moved in. The flat lot has had canals dug into it, with paths, to collect precious rainwater. With a small bridge, the contours are beginning to feel more natural. Several trees are growing to be shady and comforting. We have established an edible garden amongst this and the four young saguaro, Lorenzo, Barb, Spike and the smallest is yet to be named in time.

We have a 501c3 non-profit called Tucson Family Sweat Alliance which governs the sauna/sweat on the property. We have events and weekly sweats. The tribe gathers to cleanse, sing, pray, make music, socialize and meditate in and around the sauna. I have 18 lockers and an outdoor shower for this.

There is a 30 ft. diameter circle to gather around, containing a firepot. Medicine wheel rituals can be done in the space. This space also converts into a fun French gaming pastime, a Bowle or Pétanque court.

I have built monkey bars to swing on. There is a sensual barefoot walk to exercise feet. A jacuzzi will be added and then a gazebo/clubhouse screened structure, but it all takes time.

I figure that I have knowledge to offer after my 55 years in Baja Arizona. I can show you that Tucson is interesting and fun. Mira Vista Naturist Resort is just seven miles away on an easy highway drive for day visits. I know where to nude hike.

I have registered with AirBnB and so can be found as “Ida’s Place”, in Tucson, but I can also be contacted directly at 520-869-4982.

I am on the forum of FreeRangeNaturism.com often, if you would like to converse.

  3. This is something that we are looking at doing. We would like to purchase a secluded cabin western NC (somewhere near Asheville) and make it a clothing optional AirBnB. If I/we are ever in the AZ area, we will certainly look you up and stay!!

Thank you for sharing this experience with us. We have a cottage where we can enjoy being naked. There’s a beautiful lake and secluded trails with beautiful meadows and streams where we can hike naked too. Jan&Gary ☀️😊❤️
